Horseback Riding

The horses at Half Moon Lake Lodge are hand-picked to be the finest stock available to a wide variety of experience levels.  We pride ourselves on having a herd that is second-to-none in the area.  Some of the activities offered include trail rides and pack trips.  Pack trips can be an overnight trip to one that lasts over a week.  On our pack trip, you'll get a chance to travel in the "high country" of the Wind River Range and enjoy its pristine lakes, wildlife and breathtaking scenery.  We supply the tents, food and all other camp necessities.  All you need to bring is your clothes, a sleeping bag and personal items to enjoy the trip (i.e.. camera, fishing gear, etc.)  Our trained and qualified wranglers and guides will be happy to make your trip as comfortable and educational as possible.

Enjoy Scenic Trail Rides

For backpackers and climbers, we offer two other options, the gear drop and spot pack.  The gear drop is exactly that - we pack your gear in and leave it at a pre-arranged site.  The spot pack is the same only you have the opportunity to ride with us - saving you valuable time and energy.
